WiseTrax + WiseTracker -- v0.3.1 (Public Beta)
================================================

Thanks for trying it out! This is ONE program in two forms:

  * WiseTrax -- a VST3 instrument plugin you load in your DAW.
  * WiseTracker -- the same thing as a standalone desktop app (no DAW needed).

Both are in this zip. Use whichever you like -- they share the same engine,
the same songs, and the same everything.

It's part tracker, part sampler, part groove-box: drop a sound in and play it
from MIDI or the keyboard, generate a beat, build a multisample kit, or write
patterns the classic tracker way. There's no "right" way to use it.

What's in this zip
------------------
  WiseTrax.vst3 -- the plugin
  WiseTracker.exe -- the standalone app
  README.txt -- this file
CHANGELOG.txt -- what changed, version by version

Install the plugin (WiseTrax.vst3)
----------------------------------
1. Copy WiseTrax.vst3 into your Windows VST3 folder:

       C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

2. Start your DAW (Reason, Reaper, Ableton, Cubase, Bitwig, Studio One...)
and rescan plugins if it doesn't find it automatically.
3. Add WiseTrax to an instrument track like any other soft synth or sampler.

Run the standalone (WiseTracker.exe)
------------------------------------
Just double-click WiseTracker.exe -- no install. It's a single self-contained
file. First time in, open the Menu and pick your sound card under Audio
settings, then press Play. Save your songs as .wise files (the plugin reads
them too, so you can move a song between the app and your DAW).

First few minutes
-----------------
  * Drag a sound file (WAV/AIF/FLAC/OGG) onto the waveform strip -- it plays.
  * Or drag in a whole module: .xm, .mod, .s3m or .it. An import box shows the
song info and lets you pick how it plays back.
  * Press Space to arm edit mode, then type on the QWERTY keys to enter notes.
  * Play it in: arm REC in the transport and play your MIDI keyboard -- notes
land in the pattern as you go. Forgot to hit record? The CAP button keeps
a rolling buffer of the last few minutes, so you can grab a take you
    already played.
  * Press Ctrl+P for the command palette -- type what you want and it runs it.
It shows each command's shortcut, so it teaches you the keys as you go.
  * Open the RHYTHM panel to generate a groove (Euclidean) or flip it to STEPS
and click a beat together by hand.
  * Press F1 (or open Help) any time -- every feature has a short explainer,
and the "What's New" page lists everything in this release.

It's a beta
-----------
This is early software. Some things are missing or half-built, and you WILL
hit bugs. Save often. If something breaks, please tell us on Discord -- the
more specific the better (what you did, what you expected, what happened, your
DAW + OS). Feature ideas are just as welcome.

Every report genuinely shapes where this goes next. Thank you for testing.
